Since 1995 EETAP has:

• Trained 75,865 teachers and other educators in scientifically sound and pedagogically effective environmental education.
• Provided leadership and skills training to build sustainable state and local EE programs that are responsive to community needs.
• Promoted synergy and communication across diverse organizations and interests who share the common goal of improving the quality of education.
• Developed the National Guidelines for Excellence in Environmental Education to help ensure balanced and accurate instruction in EE.
• Led the effort to link educators with information and research based EE materials through the Internet.
